Reid defeated John Cook with a birdie on the first sudden death playoff hole to win his second major at the Champions Tour JELD-WEN Tradition. Both had tied at 16-under in regulation

Reid's other Champions Tour win was the 2005 Senior PGA Championship. This week he was #1 in putts-per-GIR averaging 1.596 and #2 in putts-per-round averaging 25.5. Cook started a 54-hole bogey-free run at the 18th hole on the first round plus bogey-free second and third rounds and bogey-free in the final round until a bogey at the 72nd hole. That bogey denied him the outright win and forced the playoff.
