2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hojgaard wasted little time getting accustomed to the PGA Tour, finishing runner-up at Torrey Pines in his first start, but he only picked up one other top-20 at Augusta the rest of the year. Not to be confused with his brother, Rasmus, who will be joining the Tour in 2025, Nicolai stormed onto the scene on the DP World Tour in 2023 to make the Ryder Cup team, but has struggled to recapture that form. He's a long hitter and quality ball striker with a high ceiling, but fantasy managers are going to need some patience due to his inconsistency. Read Past Outlooks
Earns spot in Open Championship
July 13, 2025
Hojgaard fired a six-under 64 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open to finish in a share of fourth place.
ANALYSIS
Hojgaard's strong Sunday also helped him clinch a spot in The Open Championship next week at Royal Portrush. Hojgaard led the field in driving distance this week at The Renaissance Club, and was also 11th in SG: Putting. It's been a tough go of it the last few months for the Dane apart from a runner-up at the Zurich Classic, but Hojgaard is a very talented player and wants to make the Ryder Cup team later this year. He'll look to take some momentum into The Open.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hojgaard earned special temporary status on the PGA Tour after his first start where he finished runner-up in Punta Cana. He added four top-25s in a five start stretch later in the season to virtually solidfy that he would have full status for 2024 via non-member points. The 22-year-old also impressed the world at the Ryder Cup as a rookie. The Dane has three career DP World Tour wins, one of which was the 2023 DP World Tour Championship. Hojgaard will be one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour and he also ranks fourth in approaches from 50-125 yards and eighth in putts per GIR show that he is already starting to round out his entire game. The upside here is extremely high, but a full season on the PGA Tour will certainly test him mentally.
