T42 at LIV Golf Hong Kong
March 9, 2025
Schniederjans finished tied for 42nd at LIV Golf Hong with a cumulative score of two-under.
ANALYSIS
After filling in for Phil Mickelson in Riyadh, Schniederjans returned to the LIV Golf circuit as a substitute for Iron Heads GC's Jinichiro Kozuma, who has yet to play this year due to an undisclosed injury. Schniederjans managed to finish top-10 in the field in birdies made, but that was countered by two double bogeys and eight bogeys (five of which came in the first round). Schniederjans could be in the field for LIV Golf Singapore next weekend if Kozuma is unable to participate.

LIV Golf Riyadh: Team Power Rankings
The 2025 LIV Golf season begins in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Ryan Pohle is back with his Team Power Rankings for the opener this week.
Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
2016
Schniederjans spent several years on the European Tour before joining the PGA Tour full time during the 2016-2017 season. He wasted no time in getting acclimated as he finished in the top 40 on the FedEx points list and nearly cracked $2 million in earnings. Schniederjans fell back a bit last season, but not so much that it should worry anyone for this season. While Scniederjans was solid off the tee during his first season on the PGA Tour, he lost his way last season and ended up 173rd on tour in strokes-gained off the tee. A solid short-game saved him from falling out of the top-125 however. Through two seasons, he's put up good stats both off the tee and around the green, just not in the same season. His floor should be around where he finished last season and if he puts his all of his game together, his ceiling is pretty high.
Schniederjans made quite the splash in his first full year on the PGA Tour, by nearly cracking the $2 million mark. Schniederjans had plenty of success on the European Tour prior to his rookie season on the PGA Tour, but some pretty good players have been in a similar boat and failed to get much done in the states. The future is certainly bright for Schniederjans and even the bar was set pretty high last season, he has the game to improve significantly on his numbers from last season.
Ah yes, Schniederjans, the player we've known for years as the No. 1 amateur in the world, who nearly won the NCAA championship at Georgia Tech and finished T12 at an Open Championship, has made it to the big time. He got there by winning the Air Capital Classic on the Web.com Tour in a playoff, part of a season where he had a second and four other top-10 finishes. He also made seven PGA Tour starts, making the cut four times. In a weak rookie class, he's one of the studs, a fantasy player you can rely on early even as he gets his footing. It's interesting – sometimes the stats page makes you wonder why a guy even earned a card in the first place. Schniederjans was 141st in driving accuracy, 98th in greens hit and 30th in putting. But dig deeper and you'll find that in his win he ranked T2 in GIR and in a week where he made 20 birdies to finish ninth in the field, and that clearly helped the cause. If he gets more consistent, watch out. He's got a world of talent.
