Up and down U.S Open performance
Neergaard-Petersen cards a final round four-over 74 to finish tied for 12th in his first U.S Open.
                  ANALYSIS
Neergaard-Petersen came into his first ever U.S. Open searching for momentum and good play after missing three straight cuts. After opening his U.S. Open with a one-under par 69, it seemed as though Neergaard-Petersen found some success that he could build on going into his second round. However, he wasn't able to back up his successful first round with another good round thanks to two double-bogeys on his back nine on Friday. This up and down play continued through the weekend as he again shot 69-74 in rounds three and four to finish the week tied for 12th. All in all it was still a week where Neergaard-Petersen showed improvement that he can build on for the rest of his season. For the week, he gained over a shot on average in SG: Approach, and also gained strokes on average over the field in SG: Around the Green and SG: Off the Tee.
