Easton Cowan News: Sent to minors

Cowan was assigned to AHL Toronto on Wednesday.

Cowan saw fairly regular playing time with the Maple Leafs over the first few weeks of the year, recording a goal, three assists, 13 hits and four blocked shots while averaging 12:33 of ice time in 10 appearances. The Maple Leafs needed a roster spot to activate Scott Laughton (lower body) from injured reserve in a corresponding move. However, Cowan will be a candidate to rejoin the big club at some point in the season.
