Allen will defend the road net in preseason action against Philadelphia on Saturday, Jonathan Bailey of The Hockey News reports.

Allen earned a 13-16-1 record with a 2.66 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 31 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. He will play in New Jersey's preseason finale before assuming the role of the team's No. 2 netminder behind Jacob Markstrom during the 2025-26 campaign.
