Mikko Kokkonen News: Signs with SHL team

Kokkonen signed a one-year contract with Linkoping HC of the SHL on Monday.

Kokkonen became an unrestricted free agent this offseason after the Maple Leafs chose not to tender him a qualifying offer. The 24-year-old defender had three goals and 14 points in 50 regular-season appearances with AHL Toronto in 2024-25. Kokkonen spent the last three campaigns in the minors, and he didn't see any NHL action.
