Sammy Blais News: Put on waivers

Blais was placed on waivers by the Canadiens for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday.

Blais is in his first year as a member of the Canadiens' organization, and he will begin the season in the AHL. The 29-year-old spent the entirety of last season with AHL Abbotsford, enjoying a productive campaign with 59 points in 74 games, including the regular season and playoffs.
