Fischer (heart problems) will skate in a charity game on Saturday marking his first time playing hockey since collapsing on the ice, the Detroit Free Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Proceeds from the game will raise money for automatic external defibrillators -- the device that actually saved Fischer's life when he had a seizure on the Detroit bench during a game against Nashville in 2005. He remains a member of the Red Wings, but a return to the NHL seems highly unlikely given the severity of his health problems.

Fischer has become the Red Wings' Director of Player Development after being diagnosed with a serious heart condition back in 2005.
His career is likely over after last season's scary heart problems. Fischer would like to play again and has seen some doctors with that in mind, but it's very much a long shot for now.
A very solid, dependable defenseman who will definitely be in the rotation for the Wings. He won't be needed to score much on this team - Detroit has arguably the deepest blue line in the league - so Fischer probably can't be one of your main guys, unless his plus-minus has a value to you. In short, this is a better player in real life than he is for fantasy.
