Oullet has been invited to Flyers camp as a result of the injury to Philadelphia's backup goaltender Antero Niittymaki (hip), the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old free agent was the Flyers' first-round pick in 1999 but has minimal NHL experience. He is not worth considering unless he makes the team and if he does, his value is still limited with Niittymaki almost assured of the #2 spot when he returns.

Ouellet was signed to play for Bridgeport of the AHL. He will only see time with the Isles in the event of an injury to Rick DiPietro or Wade Dubielewicz.

Ouellet has always had the potential to be a great NHL goaltender, but flopped in his audition last season. It is uncertain if he will be playing full-time with the Manitoba Moose or backing up star goaltender Roberto Luongo for the parent club. Either way, his fantasy value is limited.

Olaf Kolzig is locked up for 2005-06 and has stated he'd like to play for three more years, but Ouellet is ready now and the Caps would clear Kolzig's $4.5 million salary off the books in a second if he wasn't such a fan favorite. The Caps will be dismal for the next couple seasons, but in deep keeper leagues it would be a wise move to pick up Ouellet in later rounds as he could very well take over for Kolzig if the Caps deal him late in the season.
