With Ottawa's season coming to a close, Taylor will bump down to AHL Belleville and receive some playing time as the minor league season comes to a close. The 31-year-old received his only start of the season Saturday against Boston but was just able to stop 30 of 34 shots on goal in his first NHL appearance since 2012-13.

Taylor may very well become one of those organizational soldiers who is always ready to get called up when the need arises but never can carve himself much of a role in the NHL. He'll spend another season playing in the AHL in a backup role.
Taylor started the season with Reading of the ECHL in his second year as a pro. Unfortunately for Taylor there are better goalie prospects ahead of him in the Kings farm system.
He most likely will be sent back to his junior team after training camp. Unless the Kings feel he is ready for the AHL and send him to Manchester.
Taylor is only 19 so he will be playing in junior hockey again this season and will not get a look by the Kings other than his continued development.
