Thoresen is a very versatile player who has some decent upside offensively. He seemed to be at his best when paired with other, offensive-minded players, but he'll have to be more consistent to earn that right. He should again start out the season with Edmonton, but which line he lands on and for how long will depend on his drive.
Thoresen is a tremendous talent who will battle for one of the few roster spots in 2006-07. He has great skills offensively and can shoot the puck as well as he can pass it. As well, he likes to play an aggressive-style game, so he does not shy away from contact. Definitely one to keep an eye on in the future.
