Ledin recently signed a six-year contract with HV 71 of the Swedish Elite League, the Denver Post reports.

ANALYSIS
This is a puzzling situation for Colorado fans. Ledin was once a highly prized prospect for the Avs, but it appears they have now allowed him to bolt to Europe. Ledin played in just three games for the Avs last season, spending most of the year with Lake Erie of the AHL.

Ledin has spent the past eight seasons in the Swedish Elite League, and has never put up more than 36 points in a single season over that span. It's unlikely he will see any time in the NHL this season, unless the Avs run into some real injury trouble. He's more of a third- or fourth-line player, so don't look to him for any fantasy support.
