Though the native of Vienna showed fantasy potential during his 2010-2011 season with Philadelphia with 22 points in 67 games, Nodl likely won't factor much into Carolina's attack this coming year. He had seven points in 48 games with the Hurricanes last year following his being waived by Philadelphia.
Nodl's season came to a premature end due to a concussion, but apparently that didn't scare the Flyers away from inking him to a two-year deal this summer. In his first full season of work in the pros, Nodl had 11 assists and goals both to accompany his plus-14 rating. He'll likely be given a bigger role after the Flyers re-tooled the roster this offseason, though that might not translate into a bigger fantasy impact as the increase in responsibility might come solely on the penalty kill.

The 2006 2nd round pick has the chance to be a good player, but he is still several seasons away.
Nodl is a potential gem. He owns a sound two-way game and solid goal-scoring acumen, and is an above-average skater. He's headed to St. Cloud State for the 2006-07 season and is at least three or four years from making his pro debut.
