The Coyotes have signed Oystrick to a one-year, two-way contract, the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Oystrick played nine games with the Blues this past season, recording three points. He spent most of the year with AHL Peoria, registering a 15-30-45 line with 125 penalty minutes in 61 games. The 28-year-old gives the Coyotes some blue-line depth, but thus far he's been unable to duplicate his AHL production at the NHL level, with 15 points in 65 games to date.

Oystrick skated in 60 AHL games last season and delivered a 43-point, 107-PIM campaign, making him an intrguing training camp presence. But it would take a considerable performance for Oystrick to crack the already-strong blue line in Phoenix. Either way, he's solid depth with NHL experience who could fill in in a pinch.
Oystrick saw time in nine NHL games this season, totaling just three points with St. Louis. He was much more productive in the AHL, where he notched 45 points through 61 games, including 125 PIMs. If he could find a way to translate his AHL success into NHL production, he could find himself earning playing time with the 'Yotes, but at this point, he's likely just blue line depth.
Oystrick signed a one-year NHL-AHL deal with the Blues in the offseason. He'll challenge for a spot on the major-league roster, but is more likely ticketed for a top-four assignment with the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL.
