ANALYSIS
Selected by the Kings with the 13th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Draft, Teubert only logged 24 games in the NHL with the Oilers in 2011-12. The blueliner gave it a go in the minors for one more season before making the jump overseas and playing in the DEL. After failing to land with a team, the 29-year-old will return to North America to coach in the Western States Hockey League.

Teubert played 24 games with Edmonton last season picking up one assist. Offense is not his game, but physicality is, especially around the crease. His top-four potential may never be fulfilled, but he may still deliver hits, PIMs, and blocked shots on the third pairing. He will likely start the season in the AHL.

Teubert was acquired from the Kings in the Dustin Penner trade. Teubert projects as another tough, bruising crease clearer who also has some offensive ability, but physicality is by far his biggest strength.

Teubert projects as a nasty, hard-nosed, crease cleaner at the NHL level but does have some offensive skill. However, on a team with Drew Doughty and Thomas Hickey, he won't get much of a chance to put his puck skills on display too often. He'll need a really strong training camp to open the season with the Kings, but does have some potential for penalty minutes once he breaks into the lineup on a nightly basis.

Teubert doesn't have the offensive flair of a Thomas Hickey or Vyacheslav Voinov but he brings a physical edge to the rink every single night. He's not much of a fantasy option, expect in leagues that count PIMs, but he's a big part of the Kings' future on the blueline. He's unlikely to break camp with the big club however.

He's a crease clearer without much of an offensive game but finds himself in an organization that has that need. He'll never be anything more than a PIM provider for fantasy squads but will get a chance to break camp with the Kings. He's most likely headed back to the WHL to start the season however.
