Beukeboom missed the final 18 games of the 2010-11 season with a concussion. Before the injury, he compiled a minus-11 and is a minus-35 in three seasons for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. The Greyhounds traded him in the offseason, noting in their press release that they are giving Boukeboom a "fresh start" with a new organization. A 19-year-old defenseman who needs a fresh start doesn't sound good. It certainly looks like the Blues didn't get enough when they traded Erik Brewer for him last year.
