Looking for NHL deal
Telegin won't be under contract in the KHL next season and is hoping to land an NHL contract, Igor Eronko of Sport-Express reports.
ANALYSIS
Telegin's rights are currently held by Winnipeg after the club selected him in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Draft, but that will change July 1 when he is free to sign with any team. Assuming Winnipeg can come to terms with restricted free agents Kyle Connor and Andrew Copp, it won't have a lot of room on the left wing for Telegin. One option for the organization to avoid losing the Russian for nothing would be to trade away his rights if it becomes clear a deal can't be worked out.

2014 Fantasy Outlook
A once highly-regarded youngster in the Jets organization, Telegin has seen his cachet as a prospect plummet since his disappointing 10-point showing in 34 games with AHL St. John’s in 2012-13. The 22-year-old suffered a severe concussion that season which further stalled his development and an assignment back to St. John’s after last year's training camp didn’t sit well with Telegin, who returned to his native Russia to play for the KHL’s CSKA Moscow. It was there that he would succumb to an injury yet again and he didn't even appear in a single game last season. His KHL contract will keep him overseas until the end of the 2015-16 season, but Winnipeg retains NHL rights.Telegin could still make an impact for the Jets a couple years down the road if he can stay healthy in Russia and cash in on the speed and size that made him an organizational favorite as recently as two seasons ago,
