Mills signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Mills had previously signed a professional tryout agreement with AHL Binghamton out of training camp, but didn't see much action after he was suspended for 20 games in late October due to PED violation. With the banishment served, he'll slot back in as a depth player at Binghamton in an attempt to keep his career alive.

Mills played 31 games over two seasons for the Devils prior to spending the 2011-12 season with Albany (AHL), posting 22 points and 90 penalty minutes in 49 games in The A. He'll likely be called up to Newark should the Devils suffer any injuries to their stable of checking forwards.
Mills registered one point in four NHL games with New Jersey last season along with 24 points in 53 AHL games. Expect him to spend most of the season in the AHL and, as a defensive forward, play on a checking line if he's called up to the big club.
