Chris Mueller

In the off-season signing of Mueller, Sather and company bring in a locally bred (West Seneca, NY) center to help pad the gaping organizational hole down the middle. The natural right winger is coming off a season in which he collected 25 goals and 32 assists and a plus-nine rating en route to a Calder Cup championship with the Texas Stars. Although the 28-year-old is not likely to re-produce his offensive contributions (246 points in 383 career AHL games) at the NHL level, should injury strike the Blue Shirts and Mueller keeps up the pace, he could find himself auditioning for bottom-six duties on Broadway in the near future.
