The Bruins traded Camara to the Hurricanes on Monday along with third and fifth-round draft choices in exchange for John-Michael Liles, the Boston Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The gritty Camara recorded just five assists in 33 games for AHL Providence this season, but he showed some spark on offense in juniors. Perhaps a change of scenery can get him back on track toward earning an NHL job with Carolina down the road as an energy/power forward.

Following a breakout season in the OHL with Barrie in 2012-13, where he notched 36 goals and 60 points in 50 games, Camara planted himself on the B’s prospect radar as a budding energy/power forward. After recording 22 points in 58 games for AHL Providence in his first season as a pro, Camara will need additional minor league seasoning before he gets a shot to claim a regular NHL gig.
Camara, a third-round pick in 2011, enjoyed a breakout season with OHL Barrie, notching 36 goals and 60 points in 50 games. The soon-to-be 20-year old will most likely start with AHL Providence in 2013-14, but Camara has emerged as a solid energy/power forward prospect for the B's and is worth targeting in deeper keeper formats. He’s the sort of player who plays with an edge, but his uptick in production at the junior level suggests that once he cracks the big club he could evolve into more than just your garden-variety agitator/grinder.
Camara, the 81st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, is not much of a scorer, having recorded just 30 goals and 62 points in 195 games at the junior level, but he is a feisty player who could crack the Bruins’ lineup in time as an energy forward.
Camara, the Bruins' third-round pick in June's draft, wasn't much of a scorer at the OHA level -- he had just 17 points and 132 PIMs in 64 games for Saginaw -- this past season, but he's a tough and feisty prospect who the Bruins believe has some decent skills to hone along with his toughness.
