Knight put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Barys Nur-Sultan (KHL) on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Knight appeared in 23 games for the Flyers this season, in which he tallied one goal, three helpers and 15 shots. With the center bouncing between leagues, he only saw action in eight AHL contests, though he put up 10 points in those outings. Drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Draft, this could mark the end of the 28-year-old's time in the NHL, where he logged a total of 52 games for Calgary, Florida and Philadelphia.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
After a successful career at the University of North Dakota, where he scored 133 points across 124 games in his final three seasons, Knight moved on to AHL Abbotsford in the Flames organization. Knight has had a tough go of it while kicking around in the minors the last two seasons, with health issues primarily compromising his efforts. In 58 games at the AHL level in 2014-15, Knight scored 16 goals and 20 assists, before earning a promotion to the Flames for two games. Now a member of the Panthers organization, Knight will likely remain in the minors, barring a rash of injuries to the NHL club's forwards. Even if Knight does make the team, one shouldn't expect much on fantasy impact in the short term.
Knight played decent hockey in seven games with Calgary last season, picking up a point. The North Dakota standout had 44 points and 50 PIM in 70 games in his first AHL season in 2013-14, and will likely spend much of his time there again in 2014-15. He is one of the centers of the future for Calgary, however, and could crack the Calgary lineup should injuries occur.
