Hicketts made his NHL debut last season, captivating Red Wings fans with his intrepid playing style from the blue line. The prospect from Kamloops, British Columbia recorded three assists, nine hits and 12 blocked shots to complement a plus-5 rating through five games. His AHL numbers with Grand Rapids -- including 10 goals and 36 assists over 140 games between 2016-18 -- suggest that he has the offensive chops necessary to become relevant in the fantasy arena before long, but unfortunately for Hicketts, he could struggle for consistency as the Wings blueliners as a whole only factored into about 28 percent of scoring plays to comprise the league's 28th-ranked offense in 2017-18. A relative unknown, he should go for pennies on the dollar in fantasy drafts with the potential to yield huge returns, though it'll be important to chart his progress to be sure that he'll crack the Opening Night roster.
