Marti signed a contract with the ZSC Lions of National League A in Switzerland on Tuesday, TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Marti, a 23-year-old defenseman, split the 2015-16 season between AHL Lehigh Valley and the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Given that he combined for just one point in 29 games between those minor-league clubs, there wasn't going to be a spot for him in the NHL. However, he does have experience playing in his native country, having been involved in the Swiss-A league for three seasons between 2011-15.
