Boikov, 22, has battled numerous injuries the past couple years, including a dislocated shoulder and concussion. His last action came in 2016-17, spending time in both the AHL and ECHL. In 63 games with AHL San Antonio, Boikov tallied 16 points but ended up with a minus-11 rating. He did, however, help the Colorado Eagles (ECHL) win a Kelly Cup, appearing in 18 playoff contests and posting 10 points along the way. It's unlikely that Boikov is ready to be an everyday NHL defenseman, and either way, it's best to steer clear of him from a fantasy perspective.
