Walsh has just one NHL game on his resume, but he's excelled with AHL Utica over the past two campaigns, posting 43 points in 70 contests in 2021-22 followed by 41 points in 71 outings last season. The Devils have a defensive logjam though, so there might not be an opening available for the 24-year-old blueliner. Walsh will no longer be waiver exempt next season, so the Devils might opt to trade him. Failing that, Walsh might find an opportunity to play in the NHL elsewhere next campaign via a waiver claim.
