A lot of his poor play last season in Dallas can be attributed to a balky ankle that was fixed this offseason. There's some upside here for the former power play specialist as Francois Bouillon won't be ready until early December at the earliest while Sheldon Souray could be moved at some point between now and March.
Was not able to generate points on the island as well as he did in years with Philly and Edmonton. Scored 28 points for the Isles in 2003-04, but definitely has the skill for more. Hopefully the game changes in the NHL will boost his production.
