Legwand was a fixture on Buffalo’s fourth line this past season, missing just three games and scoring five goals and 14 points. The 35-year-old continues to be a smart, two-way center who kills penalties effectively, but his best years are clearly behind him. Teams looking to bolster their bottom-six with a strong center who can win faceoffs consistently will consider Legwand, but shouldn’t expect him to do much more.
