Erskine (neck) isn't expected to play in the Caps' final two games of the season, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Erskine skated on his own after Wednesday's morning session, but doesn't appear to be in line to take contact with the team before the regular season draws to a close. He didn't play a single game this season after undergoing neck surgery in October, but should be fully healthy for the start of the 2015-16 campaign. Erskine will become a free agent this summer.

A hulking presence on the Caps blue line for many seasons, Erskine’s future is certainly in doubt given the free agency spree the Caps went on during free agency. A solid locker room presence, Erskine’s lack of foot speed was a glaring weakness for the Capitals last season, when he was in the lineup at all. He’ll likely get some action due to injuries at some point, but it looks like his days as an NHL regular are behind him.
