Williams remains unsigned as of this writing, and the veteran winger has been mulling retirement. Should he decide to play one more season, it will likely be with Carolina, where he recorded 23 goals and 53 points in 82 games as the captain last season. While he can still play at a high level, Williams turns 38 in October, so it's fair to wonder if he has anything left in the tank. If he calls it a career, Williams would finish with 312 goals and 786 points in 1,244 regular-season appearances, in addition to a well-earned reputation for postseason heroics.
