With Jason LaBarbera (hand) healthy, Ilya Bryzgalov set to become the backup goalie following a conditioning stint, and John Gibson (groin) also nearing a return, Bobkov ranks a distant fifth on the organizational goalie depth chart.

Bobkov is a beast in the twine tent. At 6-6 and at least 220 pounds, he looms over all but the largest skaters. Add in his uncanny quickness and solid fundamentals and you have a guy who could become an above-average NHL goalie in time. He'll tend the twine for the Syracuse Crunch this year and could be added to keeper recommendations with a solid performance.
