ANALYSIS
Laperriere, better known as "Lappy", is hanging up the skates after playing for five different teams in 19 years in the league. Riddled by concussion-related symptoms, Lappy was forced to miss much time on the ice during the end of his career, but the character he brought to the job daily earned him the Yanick Dupre Class Guy Memorial Award, the Gene Hart Memorial Award, and the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. In total, Laperriere produced 121 goals, 336 points, and 1,956 penalty minutes in 1,083 career games.
