Dishes power-play assist
Iafallo logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Stars in Game 5.
ANALYSIS
The helper was Iafallo's first point since the playoff opener April 19 versus the Blues. The 31-year-old winger has seen the occasional promotion to a top-six role, but he most frequently works on the fourth line, which explains his limited offense. He's at two points, 16 shots on net, 42 hits, eight blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 12 playoff games.

Iafallo has gotten top-six minutes for most of his career, but he's not a skilled forward and consequently doesn't end up helping fantasy managers much. He had 11 goals and 27 points across 82 regular-season contests with the Jets in 2023-24, and the 30-year-old has never recorded more than 43 points in a campaign. He's not an aggressive player either, so he shouldn't be on your radar in terms of PIM or hits. If you're in a deep enough league where a forward who can provide 25-35 points without offering much else is worth grabbing, then Iafallo at least has the benefit of being a relatively safe add in that scoring range, but outside of that, he's not worthy of consideration.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Next deal overpriced?
Iafallo will likely price himself out of Winnipeg with his next contract, per Murat Ates of The Athletic on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Iafallo is expected to cost the Jets more than his current $4 million cap hit on his next deal, which could be more than the club is willing to pay -- especially since Mason Appleton will also need a new deal this offseason. While the cap is going to go up, Iafallo's 20 points in 61 games this season might already be more expensive than the Jets want to pay him, so fantasy managers should probably anticipate the 31-year-old winger hitting the open market in July.
