    2023
				2020
Addison began last season as the quarterback on Minnesota's No. 1 power-play unit and performed fairly well. He finished with 29 points in 62 games, including 18 with the man advantage. Yet once the Wild acquired John Klingberg in early March, Addison's season essentially came to an end. He was a healthy scratch for 15 of Minnesota's final 20 regular-season games and all six postseason contests. Klingberg has since moved onto Toronto and the Wild never replaced him, clearing the way for Addison to again be at least a power-play specialist even if he rarely works above the third pairing at even strength.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

				  Might play big role
Addison, who was acquired by San Jose from Minnesota on Wednesday, might start his tenure with the Sharks on the top pairing and first power-play unit during Thursday's game versus Edmonton, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.
				  ANALYSIS
Addison had five assists in 12 contests with the Wild while averaging 16:48 of ice time before the trade. It sounds like San Jose is looking for the 23-year-old to play a significantly bigger role, which might lead to Addison seeing his offensive production increase substantially. He showed promise in 2022-23, collecting three goals and 29 points in 62 contests with Minnesota despite averaging a modest 16:07 of ice time.
