Fortin has been a healthy scratch for three of the Blackhawks' last seven games, and he only averaged 9:22 of ice time in the four contests he appeared in over that span, so this move doesn't come as a surprise. Chicago recalled Dylan Sikura in a corresponding move Wednesday, so Fortin will remain in the minors for the foreseeable future.

Fortin appeared in 24 games with the Blackhawks early on last season, notching three goals and 6 points while averaging 10:35 of ice time . The 22-year-old pivot was then demoted to the bus league for the remainder of the campaign, and didn't fair particularly well, posting a meager six goals and 12 points in 47 contests. Fortin clearly isn't ready for an NHL gig at this stage in his career, and will almost certainly spend the entirety of the 2019-20 season with AHL Rockford. He can be ignored in all fantasy formats.
