				  Dropped from PTO
Loktionov was released from his PTO with the Kings on Wednesday, Jon Rosen of Fox Sports West reports.
				  ANALYSIS
Originally the Kings' 2008 fifth-round (123rd overall) draft choice, Loktionov has appeared in 155 NHL games for the Kings, Devils and Hurricanes, contributing a modest 48 points (22 goals, 26 assists) and 22 PIM. His failure to reunite with the team that drafted him makes it worth wondering whether he'll be able to find work elsewhere at hockey's highest level. Besides, he hasn't played in the NHL since 2013-14 with the Hurricanes, and his last three campaigns have been spent in the comforts of his native country with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of Russia's KHL.

Following an early-season trade from Los Angeles, Loktionov showed flashes of tremendous skill surrounded by periods of inconsistency. Like most of his New Jersey teammates, Loktionov struggled in the season's final month but he has a the chance to put together a solid season. He has more skill than most depth forwards and a good start to the season could see him earn a larger role offensively. Loktionov is a player worth remembering in the later rounds of deeper leagues and can be a savvy waiver wire pick-up if he starts to find his name on the scoresheet more often.
