Kozek spent last season with the Chicago Wolves in the AHL, scoring 12 goals and 10 assists in his first full season with the team. Though a solid junior career led the Thrashers to take him with their 2nd round pick in 2005, Kozek hasn’t developed his raw talent as quickly as the Thrashers had hoped. At this point in his career, it’s doubtful Kozek will be ever be a consistent NHL talent.
Kozek was selected 53rd overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by Atlanta. Kozek has excellent scoring potential and hockey sense but needs more bulk to withstand the pounding of the pro game. He is still three or four years away from being on the fantasy map.
The 53rd overall pick of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft has some scoring prowess but lacks the size to compete at the pro-level. He'll be in the minors this year as he hopes to further develop his game.
