2026 Fantasy Outlook
Brisson remains part of a decent prospect pool despite being released by the Rangers. He picked up an assist in three NHL games. Brisson also bounced back to previous levels in the AHL, racking up 19 goals and 18 assists over 66 outings with Hartford. A first-round pick of Vegas in 2020, Brisson hasn't panned out yet. He's also turning 25 in October, putting him at risk of aging out of prospect status as nothing more than a reliable AHL scorer. He'll likely get a look in training camp, but his potential to stick in the NHL will be dependent on how many opportunities he gets compared to younger prospects. Read Past Outlooks
Signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Maple Leafs in September of 2026.
Logs three points for Marlies
Brisson scored twice and added an assist in AHL Toronto's 5-3 win over Hamilton on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Brisson is on the scoresheet in just his second game with his new team. He racked up 37 points over 66 regular-season outings for AHL Hartford last year. Brisson was a first-round pick of Vegas in 2020, but he has yet to stick at the NHL level. He had an assist in three games for the Rangers in 2025-26, and it's unclear if he'll do enough to earn a call-up to the Maple Leafs in 2026-27.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2025
2024
After collecting 83 points in 117 games in the AHL in his first three seasons, as well as eight points in a brief 15-game stint with the Golden Knights in the 2023-24 season, Brisson is coming off a down season in 2024-25. Between AHL Hartford and Henderson, the 23-year-old had just 25 points in 61 games. His past pedigree puts him in a position to have the chance to win a spot out of training camp, but it’s most likely that he’ll at least start the year with Hartford and will need to bide his time there until a call-up chance arises.
