2025 Fantasy Outlook
After collecting 83 points in 117 games in the AHL in his first three seasons, as well as eight points in a brief 15-game stint with the Golden Knights in the 2023-24 season, Brisson is coming off a down season in 2024-25. Between AHL Hartford and Henderson, the 23-year-old had just 25 points in 61 games. His past pedigree puts him in a position to have the chance to win a spot out of training camp, but it’s most likely that he’ll at least start the year with Hartford and will need to bide his time there until a call-up chance arises. Lands on waivers Tuesday
Brisson was placed on waivers by the Rangers on Tuesday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Brisson is expected to clear waivers, at which point he'll be reassigned to AHL Hartford. The 23-year-old was facing an uphill battle to make the Opening Night roster, but he should be in the mix for a call-up or two during the season. Still, without a regular NHL role, Brisson won't offer much in the way of fantasy value this season.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
A former first-round pick (29th overall) by Vegas in 2020, Brisson made his NHL debut last season. He appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Golden Knights, posting a pair of goals and eight points. He was equally productive in the AHL, finishing with 19 goals and 38 points in 52 appearances. An offensive winger, Brisson appears just about ready for full-time NHL duty and he should be given every chance to earn a spot in the middle-six for Vegas this coming year. He's still a much better keeper and dynasty pick than a redraft asset.
