2026 Fantasy Outlook
Dillon's consistency without the puck showed up in the box score for his 2025-26 totals, as he recorded his fifth consecutive campaign with at least 190 hits and 100 blocked shots. He reached 202 hits across 82 regular-season games, which ranked second among the league’s defensemen, trailing only Vegas’ Jeremy Lauzon. Dillon didn’t come up empty offensively either, compiling three goals, two game-winning goals (matching his previous best), 12 assists and 55 shots on net. Ahead of his third full season in New Jersey, the 35-year-old blueliner should continue to provide great category coverage in deep fantasy leagues that place a premium on banger stats. Assist, fight in overtime win
Dillon logged an assist, five PIM and three hits in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Bruins.
ANALYSIS
Dillon fought Mark Kastelic in the first period and assisted a Paul Cotter tally in the third. The helper ended a 20-game point drought for Dillon, who has remained in the lineup as a physical shutdown defenseman on the third pairing despite his lack of offense. He's at 13 points, 45 shots on net, 163 hits, 85 blocked shots and 62 PIM across 67 outings this season.

The physicality and nastiness are what Dillon is known for, and that continued in 2024-25. In his first season with the Devils, he played all 82 regular-season games and finished with two goals, 16 points, 67 PIM, 191 hits and 108 blocked shots. The 34-year-old (35 on Nov. 13) is getting up there in age and needs to recover from a neck injury over the offseason, so it remains to be seen if he'll continue to be able to play the big, physical brand of hockey that is his calling card. If he can, he'll have appeal in leagues that place a high value on PIM and/or hits, but his offensive numbers are likely to remain modest.
