Pinho made his NHL debut during the playoffs, playing in two games versus the Islanders. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game for the Capitals, and he faces an uphill battle to do so in 2020-21, as the additions of Daniel Sprong and Conor Sheary will likely block Pinho from getting into the lineup. Pinho has done moderately well with AHL Hershey, posting 49 points in 135 games over the last two seasons. The 25-year-old is a candidate for the taxi squad for the upcoming season, but it would take a lot of injuries for him to get into the big club's lineup.
