Jarnkrok is coming off of a season in which he played just 19 regular-season games, spending much of the season on long-term injured reserve with a groin injury. He returned to put up one goal and six assists while averaging 13:14 of ice time, then appeared in 12 of 13 postseason games with the Maple Leafs. The 33-year-old figures to be a bottom-six staple again for Toronto, but there is some offense to his game -- he combined for 60 points in 125 games in the two seasons prior to last year. With no real shot blocking or physical acumen, fantasy managers are likely best served to look elsewhere, but it’s certainly worth monitoring whether or not the 12-year veteran can find his game again in 2025-26.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be top-line option
Jarnkrok may get a chance on the first line at some point in 2025-26, David Alter of The Hockey News reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Jarnkrok told reporters that he feels healthy heading into this season after missing the majority of 2024-25 while dealing with a lingering injury. That time off means he still has to prove himself, and he's not first in line for a spot alongside Auston Matthews. Matias Maccelli is getting the first look in that role while Max Domi recovers from a lower-body injury, but if both players struggle, Jarnkrok's smart play and past success as a two-way forward could lead to him earning a more prominent role.
