Sneep is not an offensively-gifted defenseman, but the Penguins thought enough to call him up for one game in 2011-12. Sneep snagged an assist in his lone game with Pittsburgh, but his forte is defense. A second-round pick in the 2006 draft, the 6-foot-3, 217-pound blueliner played four seasons at Boston College before turning pro. Since then, Sneep has spent the better part of two years toiling with the Baby Penguins of Wilkes-Barre (AHL), where he's put up four goals and 27 points in 101 contests. He should see more time in the NHL in 2012-13, whether it's with Pittsburgh or for another organization. He appears ready for the next step.
