Carter Mazur

Mazur earned a call-up in March after posting 15 points in 20 games for AHL Grand Rapids. He made his NHL debut for the Red Wings, but he was hurt on his second shift and missed the remainder of 2024-25 due to an upper-body injury. He's had a number of ill-timed injuries in his young career, and while the 23-year-old may get a look during training camp, he's a long shot to make the Opening Night roster. He'll likely need to show some productivity with Grand Rapids before getting another call-up, and even then, he'd probably be limited to bottom-six minutes. Read Past Outlooks
