Denny spent the 2011-12 season with the University of New Brunkswick, posting one point in eight contests. He’s highly unlikely to spend any time with the Flyers this season.

Denny, who was selected 49th in the 2005 draft, was ranked sixth among QMJHL defensemen with 65 points (17 goals, 48 assists) in 59 games. He also is showing a physical side to his game as he totaled 150 PIM's. He's still only 20 so he's three or four years away from making an impact.
Denny was selected 49th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by Atlanta, so don’t expect him to be making an impact this year. He is an offensive-minded d-man who managed 47 points in 62 games with the QMJHL last season. He also has a bit of a rough streak as evidenced by his 150 PIM’s last year. In a few years, if Denny’s development continues, he could be a useful fantasy commodity
