Lisin bounced between the AHL and the Coyotes the last few years before being dealt to the Rangers for Lauri Korpikoski this past winter. Lisin wasn't very productive in Arizona, and the Rangers have a bit more talent than the Coyotes. He had 21 points and an ugly mines-13 rating last year in the NHL. He'll be fighting for a roster spot this fall in camp.
After 20 games into the 2005-2006 season, Enver Lisin was assigned by the Coyotes to its AHL affiliate in San Antonio. Lisin refused to report and instead headed to his native Russia. The Coyotes suspended him indefinitely until he returned. While with the Coyotes, he lacked on-ice presence and had no lateral vision continually missing plays and open teammates. Lisin has the necessary speed and scoring ability for the NHL game, but in order to make the current roster for 2007-2008, Lisin will have to become more of a complete player focusing on his defensive skills and developing his vision on the ice.
Should Lisin crack the deep Phoenix forward ranks, his speed will be deadly in the NHL. He succeeded at every level he has played and with his finishing touch and blazing speed, he could be a special player.
