2025 Fantasy Outlook
Called up to the NHL in January after compiling 20 goals and 28 points in 35 games with AHL Hershey, Frank deserved his promotion. The 27-year-old has scored at least 20 goals in each of his last three seasons with the Bears, so he could push for a more prominent role with the Capitals this year. Frank ended up with four goals, seven points and a plus-3 rating across 24 regular-season contests after being elevated from the minors. While the winger will need to continue to earn the trust of Washington’s coaching staff, he’s a name to keep an eye on if he remains on the roster out of training camp. Frank would probably need a middle-six job to have a substantial impact in fantasy, though. Read Past Outlooks
Deposits empty netter
Frank tallied a goal and recorded three shots on net in Monday's 7-3 win over Calgary.
ANALYSIS
Frank helped seal the deal for Washington in Monday's contest with his empty-net goal with less than three minutes remaining. Overall, the 28-year-old winger now has 12 goals, 24 points, 85 shots on net, 47 hits and 41 blocked shots across 54 games this season. The goal was his first since signing a two-year, $4 million contract extension with the Capitals on Wednesday. The late-bloomer Frank has proved he belongs at the NHL level and should continue to play a solid two-way role on Washington's fourth line moving forward.
