Schultz was cut by the Hamilton Bulldogs, Montreal's affiliate in the American Hockey League, Hockey Inside Out reports.
ANALYSIS
Schultz came to Montreal along with Lars Eller from St. Louis in the 2010 trade for Jaroslav Halak. He's an enforcer, but it appears conditioning was a problem in this case and he's lost out to Zach Stortini and Kyle Hagel in Hamilton.

2011 Fantasy Outlook
Schultz did little in his first year in the AHL, scoring just three goals in 45 games. His biggest contribution, as it has been throughout his career, was in the physical part of the game and amassing penalty minutes. All in all, it was a disappointing year for Schulz, who may be squeezed out of a job if he doesn't regain what scoring touch he had in the Western Hockey League.
