So, how lucky are you feeling? Allison missed 58 games in 2002-03 and the entire 84-game schedule in 2003-04 after suffering what was then considered a concussion but has now been diagnosed as serious whiplash of the top-two vertebrae in his spine. When healthy, Allison was one of the top-five playmakers in the league and a point-a-game scorer. But will he be that player this year? His "robust" playing style puts him at risk of injury, and we can't help but think there's a lot of rust on those skating wheels of his. But the upside remains and he's saved the rest of his body almost three years of wear and tear. Don't roll the draft dice too early on Allison and make darn sure you have a solid contingency in place just in case you come up with snake eyes. But it's OK to gloat a little and flex your hockey intellect if you come up with a seven on this guy. We're thinking you might just win big.
