He'll likely be looking for a minor-league deal in an attempt to continue his pro career in North America.

Nelson wrapped up his fifth collegiate season with the University of Minnesota, having racked up 42 goals and 47 assists in 169 appearances for the Gophers. While serving as the team captain this year, Nelson set a new career best with 19 goals and 31 assists. Undrafted coming out of college, the 24-year-old center would likely spend at least a year with AHL Providence before getting a shot at a spot with the Bruins.
