Lodge noticed a slight decline in productivity during his third season with the OHL Saginaw, but the 19-year-old is still viewed as a fringe top-10 prospect in the Winnipeg organization. Health issues contributed to the 21-point dropoff in his scoring numbers from the season prior, so with some better luck on the injury front in 2014-15, Lodge could generate more buzz during training camp next year. For now, the former third-round selection will slot in as an overager at the junior level, as he’s not yet old enough for a move up to AHL St. John’s.
